Township announces official transportation Twitter account

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Township continues to expand the methods with which its residents can receive public information and notices. With new technology and the use of social media, current information is often just a click away.

The Township’s Transportation Department has officially launched its new Twitter account @TownshipTransit to efficiently and effectively provide information to the traveling public regarding the various transportation programs provided by The Woodlands Township. Followers of @TownshipTransit will find current communications regarding service notices and reminders, important information about service interruptions, various transit resources and emergency notifications.

The Woodlands Township operates three transportation programs within The Woodlands – The Woodlands Waterway Trolley, three Park & Ride lots for The Woodlands Express commuter bus service and The Waterway Cruisers.

Residents and visitors to The Woodlands are also reminded to follow the official social media accounts for The Woodlands Township on Facebook (/TheWoodlandsTownship) and on Twitter (@TheTownshipTX) for important news alerts as well as information on upcoming community events and the recent activities of the Township and its Board of Directors.
