THE WOODLANDS, Texas – When local resident Anne Reizer reached what is typically considered retirement age, she noted that her peers tended to let that age dictate their style sense. To her, this dictation seemed to have fed the epidemic of mindset that a “woman of a certain age” is no longer marketable or stylish. Reizer decided to address the issue head on, and crafted the unique book “Beautiful Encore: Makeovers for Mature Women,” now available.

“Self-realization inspires style, and being stylish in turn breeds self-esteem,” says author Anne Reizer

Reizer, who describes herself as a “style catalyst,” is a strong advocate of the concept that a woman’s “golden years” can be golden. “Beautiful Encore” is filled with nearly 200 pages of photos of women past retirement age being made over to show how they can still be stylish. The book is also filled with observations and directives from Reizer and various industry experts on simple steps for ladies such as these to “keep honest with themselves” with their personal outlook, grooming, and self-esteem.

“When I use the word ‘style,’ I am not talking about trends. Rather, it is about a thoughtful exterior,” said Reizer. “It involves healthy living, hair and makeup, and clothing that fits and flatters. Appearance awareness isn’t superficial; it sets the stage for new opportunities and new strengths through integrating new activities and ideas into our lives.”

“Beautiful Encore” is an indispensable guide for mature women, and is well suited as both a gift or as a self-help guide. Reizer was recently featured on the radio program Business Newsmakers Radio With Lou Garino, where she talked about the challenges of age for women still in the workplace.

Information on Reizer and her book can be found at www.beautifulencore.com; the book is also readily available at Amazon.com.
