THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The 13th Annual Fall Home & Garden Show The Woodlands will be held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center, 1601 Lake Robbins Drive, on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 22 and 23, 2015.

“Food is always one of the more popular subjects at the shows,” said Tony Wood, president of Texwood Shows Inc., producer of the spring and fall home and garden shows in The Woodlands. “And the lineup for the Fall Show provides plenty of opportunities for foodies and home chefs to learn, taste and enjoy.”

Since the best food begins with the freshest ingredients, those interested in growing their own pesticide- and chemical-free produce must make it a point to join Mike Serant of San Jacinto Environmental Supplies on Saturday at 10:30 when he presents his program titled: How to Have the Most Beautiful, Easiest to Care For, Cheapest to Maintain Lawn & Garden Ever! – Organically of Course. In addition, the Fall Home & Garden Show will launch its Organic Gardening Stage, featuring well-known speakers John Ferguson and Mark Bowen of Nature’s Way Resources, Jim Faulk of Green Pro Organic Lawn Care, Daniel Millikin of Edible Earth Resources, and master gardener and composter specialist Gail Sones.

For those not inclined to garden but desire the freshest ingredients for a homemade meal, The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill will be on hand all day Sunday.

And, throughout the two-day show, the Cunningham Gas Products Outdoor Cooking Stage will be fired up, featuring popular local chefs including: Clarence Alexander, executive chef at Kirby’s Prime Steakhouse – The Woodlands; Brian McNamara, executive chef at Del Frisco’s Grille – The Woodlands; Molly Fowler, The Dining Diva; and Lawrence Fogarty, culinary instructor at Main Course Cooking School Mainstreet America in Spring.

In addition, Cunningham Gas will showcase its newest product, Fire Pit Art. Designed by Rick Wittrig, the fire pits are available in a variety of designs including the best-selling Manta Ray, Third Rock, Bella Vita and Asia, which will all be on display during the show.

“Of course, these are just a few of the many wonderful things that can be seen and experienced at the show,” Wood said. “We’ll also have over 200 home improvement experts on hand to discuss interior and exterior design, remodeling, kitchens, windows, baths, lighting and sound. And since it’s never too early to start holiday planning, the show’s charity partner, The Woodlands Children’s Museum, will be at the show both days to ‘Celebrate Christmas in August’ by taking reservations for holiday table centerpieces and fresh Frasier fir double full wreaths.”

Tickets for the Fall Home & Garden Show are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors and children 12 years and younger can attend for free. Free covered parking is available in the parking garage behind the convention center next to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at Six Pines and Lake Robbins. After parking take the pedestrian skywalk connected to the 4th floor of the garage that will lead you to the hotel/convention center. Follow the show signs that will direct you to take the escalator down to the lobby and the show entrance.
