THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Ever visited a haunted fire house? If not, trick or treaters will have an opportunity to do so on Halloween. The Timber Lakes Volunteer Fire Department will host their 3rd Annual Haunted Fire House, Saturday, October 31, from 6 - 10:00 p.m.

Firefighters provide a safe, but scary haunted fire house.

Your local firefighters at Fire Station #141, located at 3434 Royal Oaks Drive (77380), will do their best to scare the daylights out of you, although that’s difficult to imagine if you visited their open house October 3rd during Fire Prevention Week, and met all the friendly firemen. The event is open to all ages, and provides a local and safe way to celebrate what is deemed the scariest night of the year. Candy will be provided for the kids, and free smoke detectors of the older set.

“We do this annually. I think the firefighters enjoy doing the haunted house for the kids as much as the kids enjoy it,” said Lt. Brandon Sanson. “I don’t know who has more fun.”

The haunted fire house will conjure up all kinds of scary things to the extent of the firefighters’ imaginations. The evening will also provide a touch-a-truck event with all the fire fighting apparatus on hand, including their vintage fire truck, circa early 1970s, which probably has a few ghost stories of its own.

Support the firefighters efforts to support a safe haven for the community, albeit a scary one. This is definitely a costume event. Come prepared to scare!
