THE WOODLANDS, TX -- This summer, young minds in the Spring and The Woodlands areas will have the opportunity to explore the exciting world of robotics through two hands-on workshops hosted by The MiniBot, a local robotics education initiative recognized by LEGO, founded by neuroscientist and educator, Ms. Rosa.

“For parents who care about deeper learning— not just trophy-based success.”

"In our workshops, students use LEGO bricks to engineer unique robots designed to teach engineering and physics — and focus on problem solving," said Ms. Rosa, whose background in neuroscience shapes the school’s philosophy on learning through experimentation and iteration.

“The brain needs multiple attempts and the opportunity to learn from failure to fully encode expertise,” Ms. Rosa explained. “Building a kit usually follows a linear path that avoids several possible failure (but custom-made-for-you learning) points, offering little chance for your brain to weed out existing bad thinking models.”

This Summer’s workshops include:

Workshop 1: BattleBots Bootcamp
Dates: June 8 – June 27
Location: The Epic Creative Co-Op, Sawdust Road, Spring, TX

Workshop 2: Engineering Innovations
Dates: June 30 – August 8
Location: Cunae International School, The Woodlands, TX

Both workshops are curated for excelling students 5 - 18 years old eager to build, learn, and develop critical thinking skills in a fun, collaborative environment.
