Rowing Club of The Woodlands hosts Stämpfli Express

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Rowing Club of the Woodlands is excited to welcome “the largest rowing shell in the world” Monday, January 4 at Northshore Park on Lake Woodlands located in the Woodlands, Texas. The boat will be at the Northshore dock by 2pm Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday offering a chance to row in one of the 24 seats available, no experience necessary. The cost is $25.00 per seat and proceeds from the event will go to Breast Cancer Resource Center of Texas. The first launch is scheduled for 3:30pm Monday. Spectators are welcome.

The Stämpfli Express is over 144 feet in length and its shell is a product of Stämpfli Racing Boats, a Swiss company founded in 1896. The Stämpfli Express tour of America is backed by Swissnex Boston, Presence Switzerland and MatchingNeeds. Rowing Club of the Woodlands appreciates this opportunity to help raise awareness and funds for breast cancer and the Breast Cancer Resource Center of Texas.

RCTW is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to offering an assortment of recreational, intermediate and elite rowing opportunities from the weekend rower to the national-level competitor and is devoted to bringing rowing opportunities to youths, adults and families.
