TETRA Technologies, Inc. presents 21st Annual CASA Speaks For Kids Gala: Boots & Ball Gowns Gala benefiting CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County

A foot-stomping, fun-filled evening awaits at the 21st Annual CASA Speaks for Kids Gala at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott and Convention Center on Saturday, January 30, 2016. More than 500 guests are expected to fill the Waterway Ballroom for this year's event, which benefits CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County.

The theme for this year's Gala is “Boots & Ball Gowns”. CASA Executive Director, Ann McAlpin, explains the theme chosen for the annual fundraiser helps foster a cheerful atmosphere while drawing attention to a very serious cause. 'This year, we want you to dust off your dress boots, corral those glitzy ball gowns and mosey on over to this fantastic event,” McAlpin continues, “The Gala is truly a party with a purpose. We are stepping forward to change the future for abused and neglected children in Montgomery County.'

The Boots & Ball Gowns Gala will feature silent and live auctions for a variety of select items, including one-of-a-kind jewelry, exciting trips, artwork for the collector, sports memorabilia, exclusive experiences and much more!

The event also features crowd-pleasing games and a wine pull. Emmy Award-winning news anchor, Art Rascon, of ABC 13 News will serve as the evening's Master of Ceremonies, and Ralph McIngvale is sure to bring excitement as the event’s auctioneer. Guests will enjoy fine dining, then boot-scoot boogie the night away to the sounds of The David Caceres Band.

Proceeds raised at the Gala benefit CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County. It costs approximately $1,500 to provide a volunteer Advocate for one abused or neglected child for one year. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) speak up for the best interest of children who have been removed from their parents and are under the Court's jurisdiction. CASA’s goal is to continue to provide a court-appointed volunteer to serve as Guardian ad Litem for every child in the foster care system, and to break the cycle of abuse. For the past 24 years, CASA has been training volunteers, raising awareness in the community, and working to stop the cycle of child abuse in Montgomery County.

'The work that our CASA volunteers do on a daily basis is just amazing,' McAlpin continues, 'They serve as the voice for children whose future is uncertain, and they are making a difference, one child at a time. This event helps ensure we can continue to recruit and train volunteers to speak up for the almost 4 children entering foster care in Montgomery County each week.'
