Brady to White House on closing Guantanamo Bay: No Means No

WASHINGTON, DC — U.S. Congressman, Kevin Brady (R-TX) released the following statement on President Obama’s proposed plan to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and transfer the remaining terrorist detainees.

“The law says ‘no’. Congress says ‘no’. Mister President, you signed the law so what about ‘no means no’ don’t you understand? America’s national security and the safety of my constituents will not be jeopardized for your old, rejected campaign promises. Dangerous terrorist detainees will not be harbored in America.”
