THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Children’s Museum invites young scientists to explore a world that’s too small to see.

The museum is partnering with the Nanoscale Informal Science Education (NISE) Network, a national community of researchers and science educators dedicated to fostering public awareness, engagement and understanding of nanoscale science, engineering and technology, to celebrate NanoDays 2016.

NanoDays is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future. These events bring scientists together with museums and other informal education organizations to create unique learning experiences.

The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1, and Wednesday, April 6, at The Woodlands Children’s Museum, 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280.

A number of fun activities are planned to pique young imaginations as the children study about matter on the smallest possible scale of atoms and molecules.

Dr. J will lead children in demonstrations of different, unexpected properties of materials at the nanoscale.

Angela Colton, executive director of the museum, encourages children of all ages to join them to learn about nanoscience.

“NanoDays is guaranteed to captivate the minds of our guests,” she said. “Stop by to make your own scientific discoveries – then stay and play at the museum and be sure to check out our many science-related exhibits.”

The Woodlands Children’s Museum always has plenty to do – from art and science to make-believe and magic. Located at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280, in The Woodlands, 77381, the museum has a full calendar of exciting activities.

Daily Admission is $6 per person 1 year and older. There is no charge for children under 1. Recommended for ages 7 and under.
