THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Woodlands Family Dental is offering free emergency dental care to those affected by the recent layoffs in the greater Houston area, at both of their locations. This comes at a time when several big name companies, such as, Anadarko, Weatherford and Halliburton have had to cut not only budgets, but jobs as well. Anadarko, the fourth largest U.S. oil company, recently announced a 50% cut in budget and 17% cut in their workforce.

Similar fates seem to follow in the industry with Schlumberger, Halliburton and Baker Hughes, to name a few, laying off 1,000’s of employees. With the oil industry giants making the hard decisions during this challenging market, Woodlands Family Dental wants to be a source of comfort to those who might need emergency dental care.

Dr. Brett Murphey, founder of Woodlands Family Dental, stated, “Stress is a common initiator of toothaches. Nothing hurts worse that losing your job and then getting a toothache. We want to offer our support by providing emergency dental care to those affected. If you’ve been laid off and have a toothache, we’ll get you out of pain!”
