THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Woodlands Children's Museum invites young minds to go on an adventure – by simply turning the pages of a book.

The nonprofit is hosting the Usborne Book Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13.

Usborne Books was established in 1973 by Peter Usborne, who created a line of entertaining nonfiction books for children. He was a patron of READ International, a charity that delivers books to schools in Tanzania, and established the Usborne Foundation to help develop early literacy.

“By shopping at the book fair, you can actually help the museum earn free titles that we will share in our Shadow Puppet Theatre and Storybook Theatre,” Angela Colton, the museum’s executive director, said. “We hope everyone will come out for this fantastic event.”

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is open seven days a week during the summer. Daily admission of $6 per person 1 year and older. The museum is recommended for ages 7 and under.
