Debbie Durham brings 20 years of experience to RE/MAX The Woodlands
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Debbie Durham has called The Woodlands home for the past 31 years – and has been spreading the word about the neighborhood she loves in her position as a Realtor for 20 years.
When Durham, a native Houstonian, first moved to the north side of town there were about 18,000 residents in The Woodlands – and only one supermarket. She started her career when her children were young, knowing real estate could afford her time for her family in addition to giving quality time to her clients. After working for many years with other brokerages in the area, she was attracted by the quality of the agents at RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring and recently made her move to join the team.
“It’s the cream of the crop,” she said. “RE/MAX is where people land when they’re experienced.”
With an Accredited Luxury Home Specialist Designation as well as an Accredited Buyers Representation Designation, Durham said her years of living in The Woodlands and experience with schools and amenities helps her provide guidance to newcomers who are shopping for a home in the area, which also includes Tomball and Spring.
“We’re just growing so fast, and there are many new neighborhoods,” she said. “We’ve been here a long time, but it’s important to know the new neighborhoods being built. Maybe there’s a place my clients haven’t heard of that would be perfect for them. I try to match what I know about the community with my clients’ needs.”
Danna Furnace-Grimes, director of agent services and relocation director at RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring, said she is proud to have Durham in the office.
“Debbie’s approach as an agent is based on proven methods – she’s also prepared to meet new challenges,” Furnace-Grimes said. “She’s an enthusiastic Realtor, and puts in the extra work needed to make every transaction as stress-free and simple as possible.”
Durham is constantly adding to her repertoire, using the latest technology and databases to help house hunters find their dream homes or homeowners market their properties.
“Technology is at the forefront of my business,” she said. “If you do this business, you have to remain tech-savvy and up-to-date.”
Durham also enjoys helping clients stage their homes, saying, “I love interior decorating. I like to be a part of the process and help them do whatever they need to get their houses ready for potential buyers.”
When not busy listing, selling or assisting in the purchase of homes, Durham enjoys spending time with her husband, four children and two grandchildren. She’s a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in The Woodlands. In addition, she maintains and utilizes professional affiliations with the Montgomery County Association of Realtors, Houston Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
