Woodforest Bank Title sponsor for TRI - The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Woodforest Bank has signed on as title sponsor for one of the Township's signature race events— TRI – The Woodlands that has been held annually for the past 15 years at Northshore Park and Lake Woodlands. Since the inception of the race, CB&I had been the title sponsor holding the naming rights and sponsorship title. CB&I recently moved its headquarters and relinquished the title sponsorship.

"The Woodlands Township is pleased to partner with Woodforest National Bank in the long tradition of the Triathlon,” said Gordy Bunch, Chairman of the Board. “The Triathlon is a premier event in The Woodlands with thousands of our residents volunteering and participating each and every year. The Woodlands is known for its outstanding recreation, and Woodforest National Bank stepped in to help keep this great event going.”

The 2019 event is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2019 beginning at 7 a.m. at Northshore Park. Registration for the Township’s signature race events, Muddy Trails Bash, Woodforest Bank TRI – The Woodlands and Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas, will open on January 1, 2019.
