Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Investigating Pharmacy Robbery in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- On January 22, 2019 at about 7:29 am, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Walgreens located at 3061 College Park Dr, The Woodlands, Texas in reference to a robbery. The suspect reportedly entered the Walgreens and went straight to the pharmacy located in the back of the store. The suspect then handed the Pharmacist a note asking for specific drugs and showed her what appeared to be a long gun under his jacket. After the suspect received the narcotics, he fled south on foot toward the back of the Walgreens, and across the street behind another building located at 17191 St Luke’s Way before disappearing. A perimeter was established by responding Deputies. Thanks to the hard work of the responding Deputies and Detectives, a person of interest was located in the area and arrested on unrelated charges to the robbery.

At this time we cannot release the name or photo of the person arrested as it could compromise the investigation as detectives are still interviewing witnesses and showing photo lineups.
