Infertility Community Comes Together for Walk in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX --The National Infertility Association is hosting the Houston Walk of Hope in The Woodlands at Rob Fleming Park. The events will bring together hundreds of women, men and families who are walking in support of the 7.3 million Americans fighting the disease of infertility.
DATE: Sunday, April 28, 2019
TIME: 8AM Check-In, Walk Starts at 9 AM
PLACE: Rob Fleming Park Pavilion, 6055 Creekside Forest Dr, Spring, TX 77389
“The committed volunteers of Houston and hundreds of walkers will walk together to symbolize the infertility journey. RESOLVE exists so no one with infertility “walks” alone,” said RESOLVE President/CEO Barbara Collura.
RESOLVE’s Walk of Hope not only helps raise awareness about the disease of infertility, it is also a fundraiser that helps RESOLVE build a strong community for people with infertility and works to break down barriers so many face while trying to build a family. Currently there are only 5 free infertility support groups in the Houston area. There are an estimated 580,552 women in Texas impacted by infertility. http://www.resolve.org/family-building-options/insurance_coverage/number-of-infertile-by-state.html
Houston Walk of Hope Chair Kara Powell said, “This year marks the Walk's 7th year in Houston. It is truly amazing each year to see how many people from all walks of life, whether infertility is personal to them or not, join the cause and rally around this disease that effects 7.3 million nationwide.”
