The Woodlands Township Board holds meeting

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held its regular meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at The Woodlands Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard in The Woodlands, Texas.

In support of preventing distracted driving, especially during the busy month of August, as the school session begins and drivers experience different and increased driving hazards, the Board of Directors proclaimed August as Back to School and Distracted Driving Prevention Month in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Board of Directors took the following actions on the Consent Agenda:

Approved the 2019/2020 Anticipated Debt Service Collection Rate and the 2018 Excess Debt Service Tax Collections Report, as certified by the Montgomery County Tax Assessor/Collector.
Approved Resolution Number 011-19 pertaining to casting votes for Peggy Hausman for the Montgomery Central Appraisal District Special District candidate to be placed on a county-wide ballot for the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Central Appraisal District.
Authorized execution of an Election Services Agreement with Harris County, Texas.
Authorized execution of an Election Services Agreement with Montgomery County, Texas.
Authorized execution of a Join Election Agreement with Montgomery County, Texas and possibly other jurisdictions in Montgomery County, Texas.
Approved a conveyance of 0.461 acres in Hughes Landing commonly known as the Botanical Gardens.
The Board of Directors then moved on to take the following actions on the Regular Agenda:

Approved a conveyance of 1.034 acres out of a portion of Research Forest Section 14, Restricted Reserve “A.”
Deferred Incorporation Planning Study matters to the following meeting at 6 p.m.
Accepted a quarterly update on Law Enforcement.
Accepted a report from the Harris Galveston Subsidence District regarding activities of the District and recent subsidence data in the region.
Approved the order calling Directors Election to be held on November 5, 2019 and determining procedure of giving notice of same.
Accepted a quarterly update from Visit The Woodlands.
Accepted the financial report.
Accepted the First Admendment to 20 Waterway License Agreement.
