Lone Star College awarded grants from Tomball Regional Health Foundation

HOUSTON, TX – Tomball Regional Health Foundation (TRHF) awarded more than $300,000 to support Lone Star College-Tomball lifePATH® and Nursing programs. This new funding brings TRHF’s support of LSC to more than $1,600,000.

“We are so honored by the support shown to Lone Star College-Tomball by Tomball Regional Health Foundation,” said Dr. Lee Ann Nutt, LSC-Tomball president. “This gift will pay dividends to our community for years to come.”

TRHF awarded $211,775 to support the LSC-Tomball lifePATH® program with a $100,000 scholarship endowment and funding for student assessment testing, a wraparound support coach and a processing disorder tutor. The funds will be administered by LSC Foundation.

“Tomball Regional Health Foundation is honored to provide funding for the Lone Star College LifePATH® Program,” said Lynn LeBouef, LSC Foundation board treasurer and TRHF CEO. “This program will give young adults in our community a unique opportunity to learn the social and skill expectations needed in business, academics, and personal relationships that after graduation will allow them to have a brighter future in the workforce.”

LSC-Tomball lifePATH® is a four-year comprehensive model of post-secondary educational opportunities for students who have disabilities that affect executive functioning.

TRHF also awarded $100,000 to a Nursing Endowment at LSC Foundation which assists LSC-Tomball Nursing students with scholarships.
