THE WOODLANDS, TX - Puppets are hoping to spread joy and bring smiles to Montgomery County area children during a free holiday themed puppet show at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.

Christ Church United Methodist will present a holiday themed puppet show on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1 p.m. in Woodforest Bank Sky Plaza, on the 3rd floor of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.

“We are eager to reach others and spread joy to people beyond our campus. This event is important because it allows our puppeteers to give back to their own community using their talents,” said Edward C. Gibson, IV, Director of Music & Fine Arts, Christ Church United Methodist.

The event is presented by the Puppet Ministry which is an extension of Christ Church United Methodist’s Fine Arts Ministry. All of its puppeteers are volunteers – students and adults – who share the mission of the church through puppets. Puppet Ministry performs throughout Montgomery County under 30-year veteran director Joyce Hoffman. Since 2012, the Puppet Ministry has provided outreach to the Tamina Community Center and several assisted living communities.

“The puppets tell a story which enables us to find meaning in our own experiences of life,” said Rev. Randall Trego, director of Spiritual Care, Houston Methodist The Woodlands. “We are happy to receive this ministry for our patients, their families and the community.”

All are welcome to attend this free event.
