THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC-MC) is starting the new year off with a schedule of Mediation Trainings which are open to the public. The DRC-MC is a non-profit, volunteer organization which provides mediation and conflict resolution training and services to individuals, businesses, agencies and the courts.

Mediation is a process which empowers the parties to a dispute to discuss their conflict, generate possible solutions and reach resolutions which are satisfactory to each party. Mediation training through the DRC-MC not only qualifies individuals to mediate disputes in Texas as paid or volunteer mediators, it also teaches skills that are extremely useful to anyone seeking to improve their personal or professional conflict resolution skills.

Terry David, a mediator trained at the DRC-MC said, “…I also like that it (mediation training) builds professional skills for any position in the workplace.”

Beginning in March and continuing through July, four different Mediation Training sessions will be offered. General 40 Hour Mediation Training classes will be presented at the The Strong Firm P.C. Mediation, Arbitration & Collaboration Center (MAC), 1790 Hughes Landing Boulevard, Suite 210, in The Woodlands in April and June. Advanced Family Mediation Training and Child Protective Services Mediation Training (CPS) will be presented at the DRC -MC office at 301 N. Thompson Street, Suite 106, in Conroe in March (Family) and July (CPS).

Training classes at the DRC-MC meet statutory and administrative requirements and are taught by experienced experts in their fields and in mediation. Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and Continuing Education Units (CEU) are available upon completion of the trainings. Since space in each of the four classes is limited, register soon for any or all of these training classes at www. resolution-center.org/training-schedule/ or contact Amber Gong amber.gong@mctx.org or 936-760-6914 ext. 3.

The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC-MC) is in Downtown Conroe at 301 N. Thompson Street, Suite 106, across the street from the Courthouse and is celebrating more than 30 years of helping people and businesses to resolve conflicts peacefully.
