'Legacy has prepared me spiritually and academically for my next steps in life. The university model has taught me great study habits by fostering independence and time management. I have learned how to prioritize my time in order to fulfill obligations in extracurricular activities while maintaining my grades. In addition, Legacy has prepared me spiritually to defend my faith in college and to grow in my faith during this next phase of my life,' stated Wentz.

Wentz received the Purdue alumni scholarship. She plans to major in mechanical engineering. After receiving her bachelor's degree, Wentz hopes to work in the field of aerospace at a company such as Boeing, NASA, and SpaceX.

'In my, I hope to impact others by being alight and sharing the love of Christ with them,' Wentz added.

According to Legacy Prep principal Shannon Jones, 'Amber is an amazing young lady. She is not only a great student, but she is also an outstanding Christian role model. Her younger peers look up to her and have mentioned how much they will miss her next year. Amber has been a blessing to Legacy, and we are so very proud of her. I know she has a great future ahead.'

Principal Jones added, 'Ali has worked very hard academically to earn the spot of salutatorian. She is kind and giving, and she has been instrumental at Legacy by being a leader for her peers in the classroom and in our community.
