South Montgomery County Fire Department response to structure fire in Oakridge subdivision

SPRING, TX -- At 3:30 this afternoon South Montgomery County was notified of a structure fire on Bearborough Dr in the Oakridge Forest subdivision. Engine 11-3 arrived on location within 5 minutes to find smoke coming from a 1 story residence. Crews immediately confirmed the location of the residents outside and were advised of a fire in the kitchen. Engine 11-3 A-Shift stretched an attack line into the house. They were able to locate the fire in the kitchen and quickly extinguish preventing any further damage to the house.

The fire was declared under control within 15 minutes of arrival. No injuries were reported.

Station 3 was assisted by South County Stations 1 and 2 along with The Woodlands Fire DepartmentStation 3 and Spring Fire Department Station 8. Montgomery County Hospital District provided EMS for the scene.
