THE WOODLANDS, TX - Montgomery County Commissioner James Noack provided updates on various intersection improvements.

Signalization of the Cochran’s Crossing Drive at Bay Branch Drive intersection and signalization of the New Trails Drive at Technology Forest Boulevard

These two signalization and intersection improvement projects were bid out together.

The signalized intersection design at Cochran's Crossing Drive and Bay Branch Drive will be similar to Branch Crossing at Terramont. It will include a right-turn lane from southbound Cochran’s Crossing onto Bay Branch, as well as a left-turn lane from northbound Cochran’s Crossing onto Bay Branch.

Signalization of the New Trails Drive at Technology Forest Boulevard intersection In addition to the traffic signal, eastbound and westbound Technology Forest will be widened two allow for a right-turn only lane and a straight or left-turn lane in both directions. There also will be a crosswalk added at the south side of the intersection, crossing New Trails Drive and connecting the pedestrian pathways.

Estimated start for the two intersections: Mid-October (Note: signal pole foundations and poles will be installed prior to contractor construction)

Contract length: 60 calendar days

Construction bid price: $210,203.02 (Teamworks Construction Services, Inc.)

Signalization of the Branch Crossing Drive and Sterling Ridge Drive intersection

Branch Crossing-Sterling Ridge signalization work is complete and awaiting power to be connected in order for signals to be turned on.
