THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Due to the potential record turnout for early voting and long wait times in Montgomery County, Precinct 3 Commissioner Noack worked with the county elections department and Precinct 4 Commissioner Metts to open two new early voting sites beginning next week, pending Commissioners Court approval.

“We saw a record number of voter turnout all across the state of Texas, and with that larger turnout comes significantly longer wait times,” Commissioner Noack said. “It was important to me that we not discourage voters from showing up because of the long lines out in the heat, so I got on the phone with our elections administrator and Commissioner Metts and got two new early voting locations added. We want to encourage everyone to vote and make the process as seamless and easy as possible.”

The Commissioners Court will meet Monday morning for a special session at 8 a.m. to vote on approving the two new locations. One new location is in Precinct 3 at the Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center, 1300 Riley Fuzzel Road; and the other is in Precinct 4 at the East Montgomery County Court Annex at 22354 Justice Drive.

If the court approves the new locations, they will be operational by 9 a.m. Monday. For more information, call 281-367-3977.
