THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Woodlands Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), the nation’s premier mother-daughter volunteer organization, has announced its Annual Membership Drive and has begun accepting applications from women with daughters currently in 6th through 9th grade. The Woodlands Chapter is comprised of nearly 281 members who reside in The Woodlands and South Montgomery County.

The Woodlands Chapter mother-daughter teams volunteered just over 5000 philanthropy hours in the 2019-2020 year for 28 philanthropic organizations in the community, including Meals on Wheels, Interfaith of the Woodlands, The Children’s Museum of The Woodlands, Operation Pets Alive and many more.

Over the past year, The Woodlands Chapter has achieved Blue Rose status by exceeding national requirements of member engagement and philanthropic outreach. And while a national pandemic may have slowed opportunities to serve in the community, our members still were able to serve 1000s of hours from home and in a safe and socially distant way. Serving seniors and those who are food insecure in an even greater time of need.

“We are excited for the opportunity to welcome new mothers and daughters into our Chapter as we continue to create life-long philanthropists who graciously serve the community,” said Marcy Lennox, NCL The Woodlands Chapter President.
