HS Scoreboard: The Woodlands does the double over Oak Ridge, Grand Oaks sweeps Conroe

The Highlanders win 24-26, 25-22, 25-19, 25-18.

For the second time this season, the matchup between two of the best teams in the state resulted in a four-set victory for the Highlanders. The win moves The Woodlands (7-0 in district) one step closer to winning the District 13-6A title.

There was definitely a big match feel inside the gym at Oak Ridge as both teams had a solid amount of fans cheering the squads on. The Highlanders and War Eagles traded points throughout most of the first set. The Highlanders pulled away slightly late in the set and held a 22-19 lead. However, the War Eagles were able to battle back and win the opening set 26-24. Set two was basically a replay of set one, but this time the roles were reversed. The Highlanders trailed 21-19 late in set two. Their late push was successful as well, evening the score at one set apiece. Unlike their last meeting, The Woodlands was able to be more in command of the last two sets on the way to their sixth-straight victory.
