THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township has moved its two (2) regularly-scheduled January meetings to an online format.

The two scheduled meetings will take place at the following times:

Thursday, January 21, 2021, at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at 6 p.m.

With Montgomery County hospitals experiencing more than seven (7) consecutive days above the 15 percent COVID hospitalization threshold indicated in Governor Greg Abbott’s Executive Order GA-32, indoor occupancies are limited at 50 percent. The testing positivity rate for Montgomery County is currently 21 percent.

“During this time of heightened COVID-19 cases, the online format will better serve community members who may want to call in and speak to the board live while not having to attend a gathering in an indoor setting,” said Township Chairman Gordy Bunch.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends these guidelines to reduce the risk of further spread:

Practice social distancing.
Wear a mask in public (over your nose and mouth) or with others who live outside your household. Never share a mask with others.
Teach children proper hygiene and the correct way to wear a mask.
Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently.
Disinfect surfaces in your car and around your home.

Agendas for each meeting are posted 72 hours in advance on the Township’s website and include instructions and phone numbers for the public to call in. The meetings are held via Zoom videoconferencing. Public comment is welcome. To access the agendas and call-in information, please visit the Township’s website calendar listings or the Township’s Agendas, Minutes and More webpage within 72 hours of scheduled meetings.

Public Comment at both meetings occurs near the beginning of the meeting. Those wishing to provide public comment should call in promptly at 6 p.m.
