COVID-19 Vaccination Update for Montgomery County

THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is teaming up with St. Luke’s Health—The Woodlands Hospital to operate a community drive-through vaccination site to administer COVID-19 vaccines to members of the community and underserved populations who meet the state’s guidelines for distribution.

As a large designated vaccine hub, St. Luke’s Health-The Woodlands Hospital, in partnership with Montgomery County, will focus on administering 1,950 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this week as part of the state’s week seven allocation of the vaccine. St. Luke’s Health—The Woodlands Hospital is scheduling eligible individuals on its waiting list for their first dose this week. Individuals who have not received a unique registration link from St. Luke’s Health will not be able to receive the vaccine at this time.

Montgomery County is working closely with St. Luke’s Health—The Woodlands Hospital to ensure effective vaccine distribution in our community and is participating in the administration of COVID-19 vaccines according to the following vaccine administration guidelines issued by the State of Texas:

• Front-line healthcare workers and first responders
• Residents of long-term care facilities
• Persons age 65 and over
• Persons age 16 years of age and older with at least one chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19, such as but not limited to:

-- Cancer
-- Chronic kidney disease
-- COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
-- Heart conditions, such as heart failure, coronary artery disease or cardiomyopathies
-- Solid organ transplantation
-- Obesity and severe obesity (body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or higher)
-- Pregnancy
-- Sickle cell disease
-- Type 2 diabetes mellitus

Those interested in receiving the vaccine are encouraged to complete an interest form online at stlukeshealth.org/MontgomeryCountyVaccine to be placed on our waiting list for future vaccine allocations. Individuals without a computer or internet access can call the hospital’s vaccine information line at 936-202-2060 and leave a name and call back number so a member of our team can reach out and further assist them with the waitlist process.

Vaccine supply remains limited, and at this time, we are not offering walk-in vaccinations. We will continue to expand our vaccination capacity as more supply of the vaccine is available. The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and our partners are working diligently to vaccinate our community as quickly as possible, we encourage everyone to be patient.
