Montgomery County COVID-19 Update for April 7, 2021

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - We can confirm mass vaccinations continue in our county by appointment. All adult residents are now eligible for a vaccine.Lone Star Family Health Center, individual hospitals, physicians’ offices, and pharmacies have vaccines available to eligible populations. Please check their websites and Facebook pages for additional information. It is available Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 4:30pm or Friday from 8:00 - 4:00pm.Today, we can confirm:
• TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 148 to 50,084 since Tuesday’s (4/6) report. Of the 148 new cases, 130 were tested since 3/25/2021.
• ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 increased by 32 to 1,789 since Tuesday’s (4/6) report.
• 82 county residents are known, as a result of contact investigations, to be in the hospital. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
• 26,246 people have clinically recovered.The Testing Positivity Rate for Montgomery County has decreased to 9% from 10% last week. This number is updated weekly on Wednesdays.
