Deployed The Woodlands Business Lawyer Serves U.S. Soldiers' Legal Needs Throughout The Middle East As Part of Operation Spartan Shield

“It is an honor and a privilege to serve with the brave men and women of the U.S. military,” says Robert Thomson, J.D., U.S. Army Captain, Judge Advocate, and Managing Member at The Thomson Law Firm, PLLC in The Woodlands. “There is massive demand for the services we provide at the Camp Arifjan Legal Assistance Office. This mission has been hard work, but extremely rewarding at the same time. We're serving soldiers - helping them navigate the legal process, writing Wills and powers of attorney, advising them on major purchases back home, and providing critical advice and counsel for difficult situations.”

Captain Thomson is on his third deployment and has previously deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to being Chief of Legal Assistance for Area Support Group-Kuwait, he is a Military Magistrate with worldwide jurisdiction. Captain Thomson has numerous decorations, including:

• Bronze Star Medal
• Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
• Texas Combat Service Ribbon

He had this to say about his military service: 'Hard times come often, but only the hardest of hard times - the kind that require giant leaps forward - can bring out our best selves. It’s because they don’t just reveal who we are, but require us to change in ways we never would have under lesser hardship.'
