The Woodlands Methodist School (TWMS) inducted nine new members into the National Junior Honor Society Tuesday evening, September 21st. The new members join eight existing members for the 2021/2022 school year. Members of the NJHS are inducted after a multi-step process including maintaining an average of 92 in all classes, referrals from current teachers, an application and essay, and finally a faculty council review and ultimate vote.

Members of NJHS are required to complete 20 service hours each semester. Students help with greeting students, daily announcements, flag duty, campus beautification, tutoring for elementary students, recycling, and outside community service. Recently, NJHS held a drive to collect needed personal items for Hurricane Ida victims. Students also meet with faculty mentors for virtue training and leadership development. Students learn to lead meetings and teach particular skills to their peers.

NJHS is also a great way students grow relationships with each other. Students participate in social events, like movies and game nights.

TWMS provides a joyful, Christian education through which children develop a lifelong love of learning, pursue excellence, and positively impact the world. Come see what a difference TWMS can make in your child’s life. Schedule a tour today!
