Conroe Symphony Orchestra Presents ‘Twas the Concert before Christmas December 18 with Guest Conductor Mr. Myles Nardinger

CONROE, TX -- The Conroe Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Guest Conductor, Mr. Myles Nardinger, from the Moores School of Music, presents ‘Twas the Concert before Christmas December 18 at 2 p.m. at the Willis ISD Performing Arts Center.

‘Twas the Concert before Christmas is one of the favorite concerts of the year filled with holiday music and cheer. This matinee performance will also provide a family activity before the concert where children can craft their own Christmas ornament for the tree at home.

Expect to hear holiday favorites like A Christmas Festival, Sleigh Ride, A Charlie Brown Christmas, The Polar Express plus many, many more.

This will be the second appearance by Mr. Myles Nardinger with the Conroe Symphony Orchestra. Nardinger is a conductor and pianist currently completing his doctorate in music at the University of Houston, where he has been the assistant conductor and general manager for the Moores School of Music Orchestras.

“I’m honored to be performing with the Conroe Symphony Orchestra again and know that this concert offers something for every member of the family, remarked Nardinger. “It’s so nice to be able to share the joys of the season together this year,” said Nardinger. As a music director and a conductor, Nardinger’s past productions include La Traviata, La Cenerentola, Guys and Dolls, Gypsy, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Secret Garden, and Batboy: The Musical. As a collaborative artist, he has performed at The Finger Lakes Music Festival in New York and La Musica Lirica opera festival in Italy as well as accompanied for Indianapolis Opera, Ball State University Opera Theatre, Butler University Opera, and the Virginia City Players in Montana.

Tickets for ‘Twas the Concert before Christmas are available online. Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $10 for children over the age of 10. Season tickets are also available online for $60, which includes tickets to each of the remaining concerts plus two additional guest tickets for the 2021-22. The December 18 concert will be performed at Willis ISD Performing Arts Center, located at 10101 TX-75, Willis, TX 77378 and starts promptly at 2:00 p.m.

The Conroe Symphony Orchestra is supported in part by funds from the City of Conroe, The Texas Commission on the Arts, Montgomery County Community Foundation and Cullen Trust for the Performing Arts. The Conroe Symphony Orchestra is a member of the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance and the Texas Association of Symphony Orchestras.
