The Woodlands Fire Department Douses Creekside Townhouse Blaze

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Earlier today, The Woodlands Fire Department - working with Spring Fire Department and Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department - were dispatched to a report of a house fire on Daffodil Meadow in the Village of Creekside Park.

TWFD Engine 107 went on scene with smoke showing from the rear of a two-story townhome. Engine 107 made a “fast attack” and firefighters were quickly able to knock down the fire before it could extend inside the home. Prior to the firefighters' arrival, a neighbor had alerted the sleeping residents of the townhome and helped them evacuate safely.

Fire investigators have determined the fire cause to be accidental, caused by a malfunction in an exterior light mounted to the fence. They estimate the cost of the fire damage to be arounc $50,000.
