The Woodlands Fire Department To Conduct Training Along The New Bridge on Kuykendahl Over the Next 3 Days to Prepare for Traffic Switch Next Week

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Fire Department is scheduled to conduct training on the new bridge along Kuykendahl Road over the next three days (Tuesday, Dec. 21, through Thursday, Dec. 23).

The Kuykendahl Road widening project between Lake Woodlands Drive and Bay Branch is nearing completion. A traffic shift is scheduled to occur next week in order for the contractor to complete the crossovers and tie-ins on the north and south ends of the job. When the traffic shift occurs next week, northbound traffic will switch to the new northbound outside lane. Southbound traffic will continue to use the single existing southbound lane during this phase.

When completed, there will be two lanes in each direction on that stretch of Kuykendahl Road, including the new bridge along the new northbound lanes.
