HOUSTON, TX -- Lone Star College and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi have teamed up to provide a seamless transfer experience for LSC students that will support them with resources required to navigate the transfer process.

“Lone Star College is delighted to formalize the process in which our students can continue their education at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi,” said Dwight L. Smith, III, Ed.D., LSC Vice Chancellor Academic and Workforce Success. “This articulation agreement will make it easier for those interested in pursuing bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees to achieve their goals.”

An articulation agreement is a formal collaboration between two or more institutions of higher education. This type of agreement is typically formed between a community college and a four-year institution with the purpose of creating a seamless transfer process for students.

Nearly 500 LSC students have already transferred to A&M-Corpus Christi over the last five years.

In addition to the agreement with A&M-Corpus Christi, LSC offers students the opportunity to earn bachelor’s degrees in Cybersecurity; Nursing; and Energy, Manufacturing and Trades Management. The LSC-University Center, located in The Woodlands and University Park, also allows students to earn their bachelor's and master's degrees close to home from partner universities in a variety of programs.

“It’s important that our students have the right options to continue their education,” said Smith.
