THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Symphony reaches diverse audience in 2022

sci-fi and outer space inspired soundtracks



Join the Woodlands Symphony for music that is “Out of this World” on Sunday, May 1st at The Woodlands Methodist Church. Artistic Director Darryl Bayer plans to unite the classical world of music with the universe of sci-fi, space, and fantasy fans in this uniquely designed concert of movie soundtracks. The program begins at 6:00 PM with doors opening at 5:30 for general admission seating. Discount tickets can be purchased through www.Eventbrite.com or at the door the night of the concert.

Reaching a diverse multi-generational audience is the primary mission of The Woodlands Symphony. The orchestra is dedicated to performing concerts that appeal to “Gen-X”, “millennial” and “baby boomer” music enthusiasts. Enhanced with video images from NASA and Hubble Telescope, the concert opens with classical music from the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey and transports you through the galaxy with excerpts from The Planets, E.T, Superman, Apollo 13, Star Trek, Star Wars and more mega movie hits.

“Out of this World” program on May 1st has been generously underwritten by Annette and Ken Hallock. The Woodlands Symphony 2022 season is funded in part by The Howard Hughes Corporation. The Woodlands United Methodist Church is located at 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive in The Woodlands, Texas.
