MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Throughout May, June, and July of 2020, the Montgomery County Pct. 1 Detective assigned to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office ICAC Task force conducted an online investigation involving the online solicitation of a minor and promotion of child pornography.

During the course of the investigation, the suspect, identified as Mr. James Browning of Churubusco, Indiana, corresponded with the detective sending numerous videos and pictures containing child pornography. Mr. Browning also stated to the Detective that, “I’ve (Mr. Browning) always wanted my own incest family.”

With this information, the detective completed an arrest warrant for the charge of promotion of child pornography. With the assistance of Homeland Security, Mr. Browning was arrested and transported to Montgomery County to face prosecution.

On April 14, 2022, Mr. Browning plead guilty and received a 28-year sentence to be served confined within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Constable Philip Cash, would like to thank all of our partnering agencies and those who assisted with bringing this predator to justice.
