THE WOODLANDS, TX – Woodlands Online Weather researches multiple official sources and sites for each forecast; we want to ensure a majority are in agreement before we commit ourselves to any one prediction. Typically, that’s a juggling act. Imagine our surprise when all of our sources basically agreed that this weekend would be a glorious one, weather wise.

No rain, no triple-digit heat… is this a weekend we can enjoy?

Already today, we’re spent a few morning hours leisurely scrolling through the 70s and into the 80s, and it won’t be until after lunchtime that we barely break into the 90s. An afternoon spike in clouds and wind will bring some coolness to our skin, but not a lick of rain. This is perfect weather to support your local high school team, like College Park taking on Grand Oaks at Woodforest Bank Stadium.

As Friday rolls into Saturday, our overnight lows will actually get into the 60s, which means that for the first time in a long, long time we can actually turn off the nighttime air conditioning and rely purely on ceiling fans.

Starting Friday night and lasting all through the weekend, the pressure will rise and the dew point will remain steady. Saturday will dawn with mostly sunny skies and will stay that way the entire day, with the high hitting the low 90s. Once again, a little bit of wind and cloud cover will make an appearance in the early afternoon, but that should just add to the outdoor fun, like maybe The Woodlands Township’s inaugural Lazy River 5K. The overnight low will be slightly warmer, but still in the balmy low 70s.

Sunday will be more of the same with mostly sunny skies that will see an uptick in the clouds and winds in the afternoon. The 50-percent cloud coverage will remain for the rest of the day and overnight, keeping the temps slightly warmer with a high of 93 but with a low back down into the 60s. A perfect way to commemorate the anniversary of 9/11 with First Responders Day in The Woodlands at the fire station and Patriot Day Remembrance at Northshore Park.

By the time the rooster crows on Monday morning, you can look forward to several days of pleasant seasonal weather.
