The Back Pew Brewing 5k Beer Run happens Nov. 5 at Back Pew Brewing Co. in Porter
PORTER,TX -- Locally brewed craft beer will be waiting at the finish line for runners in the Back Pew Brewing 5k Beer Run, taking place Nov. 5 at Back Pew Brewing Co., 26452 Sorters McClellan Rd, Porter, TX 77365, starting at 8 a.m.
This is the fifth year for the event at Back Pew Brewing, a North Houston brewery located in a former church building.
The race benefits Family Promise of Lake Houston, a non-profit dedicated to helping families break the cycle of homelessness.
The race starts and finishes in the Back Pew beer garden and follows a course through neighborhood streets.
Once they cross the finish line, all registered runners over age 21 receive a souvenir pint glass and four 8-oz. servings of beer from Back Pew. Each runner also receives a performance fabric race T-shirt. A food truck will be available in the beer garden.
Overall, masters and top three winners in each age group will receive custom-made awards specially designed for beer lovers.
