Haunted Halloweens and Fun Festivals this weekend in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Halloween may be on a Monday this year, but the spooky shenanigans are already in full swing. Here’s a list of Halloween-related fare this weekend, from trunk-or-treats to fall festivals and everything in between. Due to an outright scary weather forecast, we suggest you contact each venue before heading out.

Here’s a handy guide for what’s happening for the All Hallow’s Eve weekend


Friday, October 28

Fall Festival at Chik-fil-A Magnolia – Join Chick-fil-A Magnolia and C3 Church for a FUN Fall Family Night! They will have fall themed games, bouncy houses, an obstacle course, face painting, surprise visits from the Chick-fil-A Cow, and much more! Wear your favorite costume and enjoy some Chick-fil-A all while celebrating the great season of fall.

Freddy's 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat at Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands – They hope you can make it to their 3rd annual TRUNK or TREAT Event! Costume Contest, DJ, Food Truck, Haunted House, a Special Guest Appearance, and MORE!

Halloween Features at Fielding’s Local Kitchen + Bar – Join them for spooky cocktails and food! Their self-described ‘creepy menu’ includes Pumpkin Affogato, Brujeria, Deadly Fashioned, Vampires Favorite (Cocktail for 2), Salem Cocktail, “The Grim Pepper” Burger, Fairytale Pumpkin Soup, and Pumpkin Walnut Cobbler.

The Haunting at Bear Branch Park – Panic Room – Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. You and your family can try to escape but the darkness will close in. Mazes, tunnels, and twists and turns will be a part of your journey. But beware of the different states of confusion you will face in the Panic Room. Recommended for Ages 9+. Ticket Sales open at 7:45 p.m. Last Ticket sold at 9:30 p.m. Tickets $9 per person.

Movie on the Lawn – Ghostbusters Afterlife – Bring your blankets, grab your family and friends, and meet up at The Lawn at the Woodlands Mall! Movie Nights are complementary and dependent on weather. There will be no rain dates scheduled. Blankets and chairs are permitted. Children should not be left unattended or unsupervised at any time.

Spooky Couple – Date Night at Painting With a Twist – Learn to paint with a brush in one hand and a glass of wine in the other! Their studio is a BYOB establishment so bring your favorite snacks and drinks of choice to enjoy! You must be at least 21 to consume alcohol in the studio.

Trunk or Treat at Stonebridge Church – You and your family are invited to join in the church parking lot for their Trunk or Treat event. Sign up to host a space or just come for fun and candy! There will be competitions for different trunk designs. Don’t miss out on the fun this fall!


Saturday, October 29

Community Baptist Church Fall Festival – Come join for their 2nd annual Community Fall Festival! Free admission and fun for all ages, Inflatable dry slide and obstacle course, dunk tank, trackless train rides, face painting, games, Chick-fil-A cow, popcorn, cotton candy, hotdogs and more!

Costume Contest & Party at Baker St Pub & Grill – Annual Halloween Costume Contest! $500 Cash & Prizes. Contest at Midnight, Happy Hour until 9:00 p.m., Live Music with Stereo Maze at 9:45 p.m.

Costume Party for Kids at the Shadowbend YMCA – Costume Party Entertainment for the kids include movies, games and more! Younger children must be potty-trained. Join the Fun!!! For ages 3 - 12: Halloween Costume Party with movies, games, snacks and more. Pre-registration is required. First Child is $15. Additional child is $10

Glow & Go 5K – The chip-timed 5K course will wind throughout the Waterway, providing a scenic route and fun, enjoyable atmosphere fostering friendly competition. Runners are encouraged to dress in their best glow costumes in the spirit of Halloween!

Glow Party with Costume Party & Costume Contest at Como Social Club – You’re invited to join for their Halloween Glow Part. This year’s theme is Villains & Vixens, so grab your most unique costumes and come party with them. Live Music | No Cover. Drink Specials 8-10 p.m., Costume Contest at 10 p.m.

Halloween at the Classy Cork Wine Room – It's all treats and no tricks with complimentary desserts and 10% off your purchase when you come in costume.

Margaritaville Halloween Events – Enjoy a 'Spook-tacular' time at Margaritaville Lake Resort with fun activities for ghoulies and ghosties of all ages. For families, there's trick-or-treating across the resort, a balloon artist, a family costume contest, and a movie under the stars. Adults will have a frighteningly good time on our creepy-crawly adult bar crawl or cruising the lake on Einstein's spooky party barge. There's an adult costume contest at Landshark Bar and Grill and karaoke and DJ music going on past the witching hour in the Boathouse Bar and Lounge.

Pumpkins & ‘Possums at Friends of Texas Wildlife – Come and get up close with some nocturnal critters! Lots of fun games and activities: make a craft to take home; learn about nocturnal animals in our area; meet owls, opossums, skunk, and more! Costumes encouraged, Come and go any time during the event. $5 per person, kids three & under get in free.

SpookTacular at The Woodlands Children’s Museum – Wear your costumes and join the museum for its annual SpookTacular Halloween Monster Mash Party. This non-spooky candy-free event will be filled with science monster slime, face painting and children’s carnival type games and activities. Members & Non-Members $10 for everyone one year and older.

Spooky Soiree at Amrina – It's Halloween in The beautiful Woodlands! We hope you're as excited as we are, so join Amrina for a spooktacular night with live entertainment including DJ, saxophonist, violinist and dancers! Dress up and compete for a prize of the best interpretation of Princess Amrina. So get creative and show off that sexy, funny, or spooky costume that you have been dying to show off!

Tandem Trick or Treat – Take the traditional trick-or-treating experience to the water! Travel via tandem (double) kayak around the lower Waterway and Lake Woodlands to collect Halloween treats from boat house staff. Costumes encouraged! Pre-registration required. Fee: $45 per tandem kayak (Two people – candy enough for all!)

Texas Renaissance Festival – All Hallow's Eve – Join the lords and ladies for the 48th annual the Texas Renaissance Festival's Halloween-themed weekend. Ghouls and ghosts arrive for some scary good fun! Enter their Halloween costume contest for a chance to win 'Spooktacular' prizes.

Trunk or Treat at The Woodlands Methodist Church – Fall is upon us! Join in for Trunk or Treat and bring your closest friends. You will get lots of candy when you trick or treat walking from trunk to trunk. Come to the FLC parking lot from 10:00 a.m. - noon for candy and fun activities.

Woodlands Sportsplex Fall Festival – Come out at enjoy family fun at the Fall Festival at Woodlands Sportsplex. Trunk or Treats - Costume Contest - Food Trucks - Bounce Houses and more! 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. - Free!


Sunday, October 30

2nd Annual Boo-Fest at The Butler House – Halloween Movies on the TVs, Trick or Treat, Arts & Crafts, Children's Costume Contest, Food & Cocktail Specials. Reservations REQUIRED – Please call 281-651-2185 to reserve your spot!

Doggie Costume Contest at Lovebeans Coffeehouse – Come out to Lovebeans on Sunday, October 30th from 12-2pm with your pup dressed in their best Howl-O-Ween costume! The winner will receive a basket full of goodies for your pup and a Lovebeans gift card for you!! We can't wait to see you there!

Monster Mash Trick or Treat Stop – The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park is open and celebrating Halloween this year and you're invited! Activities include trick or treating with dressed-up recreation staff, inflatables, games, crafts, costume contests and much more!

Trunk or Treat at Lord of Life Lutheran Church – How does Frankenstein get around town?.... In his Monster truck! Corny Halloween jokes means it’s time for Trunk or Treat at Lord of Life. So, get your trunks ready for a spook-tacular good time! Prizes awarded for the most creative trunk, scariest trunk and best treat!
