Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Assists Harris County Sheriff's Office in Search for 2 suspects in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, TX -- UPDATE: The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is in contact with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office regarding the joint man hunt for their suspect from Sunday night.

The investigation is ongoing and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office informs us they currently have no reason to believe the second suspect is still in the search area. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has not received any calls regarding suspicious persons or reported sightings in that area since the search concluded.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office recognizes the concerns of citizens who live in the area and we encourage you to remain vigilant as you continue to go about your daily lives. As with any time, always pay attention when you are coming and going from your home, lock your doors when inside and immediately report any suspicious or unknown person by calling 911.




On October 30, 2022, at approximately 9:30 pm Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies were in pursuit of a vehicle occupied by two male suspects in connection with an active investigation. Harris County Deputies pursued the vehicle into Montgomery County. The suspects wrecked their vehicle in the area of State Highway 149 and Jackson Road in Magnolia and fled on foot.

At this time, one suspect has been detained and is in custody. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, Patrol and Canine Units, Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constables Office and Texas DPS Air Unit are assisting Harris County with the search for the remaining suspect.
