THE WOODLANDS, TX – The City of Shenandoah had nearly a full month of ghoulish yards and spooky decorations. Halloween night's parade had many great backgrounds for trick-or-treating. While there were a significant number of outstanding Halloween house decorations this year, the city’s Civic Club selected the top two winners of the annual Boo-Tastic Decorating Awards.

The Steve Huhn house at 618 Blue Ridge is a perennial neighborhood favorite that has won previously for his dedication and love of the holiday. Charley and Tonya Ballmer, 214 Hickory, also had their fair share of admirers in their first win. The costumed couple was also a hit on Halloween night as they greeted trick-or-treaters.

Already, the Civic Club is looking forward to the Christmas decorations that will be highlighted in December, so Shenandoah residents should start thinking now about exchanging their orange and black light bulbs to red and green ones..
