2022 Precinct 3 Constable's Office Award Recipients: Lucas Paige - Medal of Valor

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- On the evening of July 15th of 2022 Deputy Lucas Paige responded to assist Magnolia P.D. in apprehending an armed violent male in a hotel room. The armed intoxicated male had threatening several people. Upon arrival the male bran-dishing the weapon would exit & retreat inside his room taunting officers each time. Multiple attempts to get the male to surrender were unsuccessful.

On the last occasion the male exited and pointed the weapon at the officers leaving them no alternative but to engage the suspect with gunfire. The suspect was struck several times rendering him incapacitated. Deputy Paige remained calm and under control. Immediately Paige took control instructing officers as they approached the suspect to secure him. Once secure, Deputy Paige immediately began life saving measures.

Deputy Paige professionalism, bravery and leadership aided in the apprehension of the felony suspect and ensured the safety of all of the officers on scene.
