SHENANDOAH, TX – Here is a list of significant Activity and Calls for Service for December 11-17, 2022.

Arrests

• Narcotics – Residential – Officers with SHPD, TXDPS, and MOCO Pct.3 were involved in a joint narcotics operation. The operation resulted in one arrest for delivery of a controlled substance. The investigation is ongoing.
• Theft / Warrant Service – 19100 block of IH-45 – Suspect arrested for theft from a retail store and an open arrest warrant.
• Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle / Evading – IH-45 @ 1488 – A patrol officer located a reported stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The suspect's vehicle fled. A long pursuit was initiated and ended in Chambers County where the suspect was taken into custody and the vehicle was recovered.
• Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle / Evading / Narcotics / Tampering with Evidence – 18300 block of IH-45 - A patrol officer located a reported stolen vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle fled on foot and was eventually taken into custody. The suspect was also found in possession of methamphetamine, which he tried to destroy before being taken into custody.
• Theft – 19000 block of IH-45 – A suspect was arrested for theft from a retail store.
• Driving While Intoxicated – A traffic stop and subsequent investigation led to the arrest of a suspect for DWI.

Property Offenses (without arrests)

• Fraud – 19000 block of IH-45 – Unknown suspect used the victim's credit card information to make a purchase at a retail store.
• Theft of Motor Vehicle – Suspect stole a 2014 Nissan Altima. The vehicle was later recovered, unoccupied, and a potential suspect has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
• Theft – 19400 block of David Memorial – Unknown suspect stole decorations off the victim’s front porch.
• Theft of Motor Vehicle – 19400 block of IH-45 – Unknown suspect stole a GMC pickup.
• Criminal Mischief – 19400 block of David Memorial – Unknown suspect attempted to steal two separate GMC pickup trucks, causing damage to both vehicles.
• Theft – 19100 block of IH-45 – Unknown suspect scammed a sales clerk out of money using a change scam technique.
• Hit and Run Accident – 19100 block of IH-45 – Unknown suspect struck a parked unoccupied vehicle and did not leave their information.

Persons Crimes (without arrests)

• Robbery – 29000 block of IH-45 – Multiple individuals reported being robbed while staying at a local motel.

Other (without arrests)

• Criminal Trespass – Residential – An individual was attempting to get into a home to meet someone they met online. The resident was not the person to whom the individual was talking to online. A criminal trespass warning was issued.
