The Woodlands Township’s Touch-A-Truck celebrates 16 years with biggest event to date

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The Woodlands Township’s annual Touch-A-Truck event will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, 6464 Creekside Forest Drive in The Woodlands, TX 77389. This free, all-ages-friendly event offers the community an opportunity to touch, climb and interact with trucks and vehicles, play in a kid-friendly construction zone featuring a giant sandbox, and visit multiple vendors for crafts and games.

This year’s presenting sponsor is Soccer Shots, who along with various other local businesses and organizations like The Woodlands Fire Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security and more will be participating at this year’s event. Vehicles of all sizes will be on site for participants to enjoy, such as garbage trucks, off-road mudders, tow trucks and other large vehicles. Drivers and operators will be on hand to educate, provide demonstrations and answer questions about the vehicles.

The first hour of the event is “sensory friendly,” which means it is the optimal time to bring children or infants who are sensitive to loud noises, such as horns. New this year is the addition of construction- themed bounce houses, food vendors, local mascots and interactive booths from The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Services Department.

Parking for the Touch-A-Truck event is located across the street at the Rob Fleming Aquatics Center and at the nearby Risen Church, 6262 Creekside Green Drive in The Woodlands, TX 77389.
