THE WOODLANDS, TX – Surprisingly, many of us woke up to wet pavements and raindrop-covered windshields. While the entire weekend might contain the slightest chances of rain, however, it seems like this morning’s slight precipitation might be over and done with if we survive the project spike in rain around lunchtime.

Pick a high, any high

That being said, Friday’s skies will be cloud-covered. Slowly but steadily, the grey will diminish, so that by sundown we’ll only have about a quarter of the sky including clouds. Around the same time we’ll hit our high of only 72, and even then temps in the 70s won’t last long as we head to a low of 60.

Saturday will be much, much warmer. As the morning progresses, the mercury will head from the 60s through the 70s and finally hit its high point of 86 in the mid-afternoon. A comparable return of clouds and steady rise in winds out of the south will add to the fun as a low-pressure front comes barreling through. As you head to bed that night, you might get a glimpse of some stars for a bit, but overnight the clouds will return with a vengeance.

When you wake up on Sunday, the skies will already be gloomy with a high humidity and a hidden sun. As a result, and combined with the steady winds, we’ll struggle to reach a high only five degrees higher than the low the night before. That’s right; once again we’ll have a high of only 72. Even that won’t last long, as the thermometer will steadily drop down into the 50s for a low.

As the weekend wraps up, we can look forward to some cooler temperatures and maybe some more precipitation…
