THE WOODLANDS, TX – This is one of those weekends where the weather can’t seem to make up its mind. Buckle up, because the next few days will be all over the road.

Storms… sun… storms… a strange weekend

Our chances of thunderstorms will peak today shortly after lunchtime. At about two o’clock or so, the rain chances, spiking winds, and clouds will all plummet down to near zero. This evening we’ll hit our high of 83 (with a heat index making it feel like 86, thanks to the humidity) as the pressure hits rock bottom. Sounds like perfect outdoors weather to head up to Conroe and enjoy the Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo. We may get some clouds returning overnight as the terms drop steadily down into the mid 50s.

On Saturday, rising pressure will mix with a dropping dew point and humidity, giving us a bright, sunny day with moderate winds and seasonal (well, for us, anyway) temperatures getting up into the mid 80s. Take advantage of this gorgeous weather, because the next day will be a different story. In fact, enjoy the outdoors and earn some community brownie points by volunteering for The Woodlands Community Litter Cleanup Day.

Overnight as Saturday turns into Sunday and the temperatures get back down into the 50s, the humidity will return with a vengeance, and we’ll spend our supposed day of rest with a day chock full of thunderstorms and a fair amount of rain. On the plus side, the clouds and rains will keep the high temperature at a mere 76, but it won’t get too much cooler overnight. You can experience the best of both indoors and outdoors at The Woodlands Home & Outdoor Living Show happening all weekend at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

As for next week, look for the temps to seesaw as the rains come and go every other day…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
