Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Investigators Identify Houston Man for Murder

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX -- Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Investigators identify a Houston resident, Jadon Ezra Carpy, 21, for Murder.

On October 16, 2019, at approximately 12:05 a.m., Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of Glen Rosa Drive in Katy, Texas regarding a disturbance at a residence.

Upon arrival, investigators confirmed that a window was broken by intruder(s), which woke the family up. The homeowner, Brenton Estorffe, 29, was shot to death in front of his family while confronting the intruder(s). The victim was protecting his wife and children.

After further investigation, detectives learned the identity of the suspect for the murder of Brenton Estorffe.

With the assistance of the Gulf Coast Violence Offenders Task Force, the suspect, Jadon Carpy, 21, was arrested on February 23, 2023 at his residence in Houston, Texas.

Carpy was taken into custody at the Fort Bend County Jail and is charged with Murder. His bond is set at $350,000.

“Another life was taken away so tragically in the hands of a criminal,” said Sheriff Eric Fagan. “Although we cannot bring Mr. Estorffe back to his family, the tireless efforts of our investigators to identify the suspect in the case don’t go unnoticed.”
