New playground opens at Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center

THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center recently unveiled a new playground – open daily from dawn to dusk.

Nature center has activities galore for families


'Field trip season is upon us,' said Commissioner Noack's office in a statement. 'The Nature Center is closed to the public until 2 p.m. during field trips. Please check our website or give us a call if visiting during the school semester. But don’t worry, the playground and the trails are open every day.'

Numerous upcoming events are also on the horizon at the center. Some events require registration and are marked as such. Registration can be done on the website listed below through its 'contact us' page. Currently scheduled Field Trip days are listed, however more may be added, so visitors are encouraged to check before heading over. Events include:

• Saturday, April 1, 2 p.m. – All About Edible Plants Presentation
• Tuesday, April 4, 2 p.m. – Critter Chat
• Wednesday, April 5 – Nature Center closed until 2 p.m. for Field Trip
• Thursday, April 6 – Nature Center closed until 2 p.m. for Field Trip
• Tuesday, April 11 – Nature Center closed until 2 p.m. for Field Trip
• Wednesday, April 12, 2 p.m. – Critter Chat
• Thursday, April 13 – Nature Center closed until 2 p.m. for Field Trip
• Friday, April 14, 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. – Homeschool Foraging Class (*Requires registration through website)
• Saturday, April 15, 9 a.m. – Birding Hike
• Tuesday, April 18 – Nature Center closed until 2 p.m. for Field Trip
• Wednesday, April 19 – Nature Center closed until 2 p.m. for Field Trip
• Thursday, April 20 – Nature Center closed until 2 p.m. for Field Trip
• Tuesday, April 25, 2 p.m. – Critter Chat
• Wednesday, April 26, 9 a.m. – Birding Hike
• Thursday, April 27, 2 p.m. – All About Edible Plants Presentation

The Spring Creek Greenway Nature Center is located at 1300 Riley Fuzzel Road.
