Renee Miller Named New Creekside Park Junior High Principal

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Tomball Independent School District is excited to announce that current Creekside Park Junior High Assistant Principal Renee Miller has been named the new Principal of CPJHS, replacing John Vaglienty who has accepted a new position outside Tomball ISD at the end of this school year.

Miller joined Tomball ISD in 2022 from Klein ISD where she served as Assistant Principal at Klein High School from 2016 to 2022. In that role, she led all special education programs and was an instructional leader for LOTE/Journalism/Developmental SPED and Transition as well as spearheaded campus events. For her strong leadership, Miller was named 2020 Assistant Principal of the Year.

Prior to her time in Klein, Miller was an Assistant Principal at Aldine Ninth Grade from 2014 to 2016, and before becoming a campus administrator, she spent time as a classroom teacher at Magnolia High School.

Her leadership experience coupled with her classroom experience leads to nearly 20 years in education. Over the last nine years as a campus administrator, Miller has gained experience overseeing special education programs, has served as an instructional leader for math, science, social studies, and journalism, and has led character education initiatives.

Miller earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Sam Houston State University and a Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University.

What was intriguing about CPJHS and joining Tomball ISD as a campus leader?

“I chose Tomball ISD for its record of educational excellence coupled with a hometown community culture. CPJHS has become my home this school year, and I am so excited about leading the students and community. It is truly a destination for me.”

What is it about education that you love so much?

“What I love most about education are the students. I enjoy listening to their thoughts, watching them discover new things, and celebrating their perseverance through challenges to meet their goals. It is a blessing to witness the evolution of young people and their success, and one I feel a great responsibility to in my role as an educator.”

What can the CPJHS school community expect of you as their leader?

“CPJHS can expect love, integrity, accountability, grace, and a commitment to the success of every learner. My hope is to continue building relationships within the community and to partner with families for student success. I am exceptionally grateful for this opportunity to serve the Creekside community.”
