THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Part of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s mission is to provide support to young artists as they pursue college degrees in the arts. This amazing opportunity is awarded to students through The Pavilion Partners Fine Arts Scholarship Program. Each year, scholarships are awarded to local high school seniors based on talent and academic performance. This year, Partners awarded over $100,000 in new scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 to 27 local high school seniors.

The scholarship recipients represent 15 high schools across five different school districts. Over 30 renewal scholarships were also awarded to recent recipients of a scholarship who are majoring in the Fine Arts and in a field of study consistent with the discipline in which they initially auditioned. Since its inception, Partners has awarded more than $2 million in fine arts scholarships.

On Monday, May 1, The Pavilion treated 2023 scholarship recipients to a special celebration on the Main Stage. Along with recognition and desserts, scholars got the chance to meet each other and some of the key donors that made their scholarships possible. Members of the Scholarship Committee put together a program for the evening that highlights each student and outlines the process of winning a scholarship, including this year’s excellent talent judges.
